Dr. Dayel Al Shahrani, MD, DCH, CSBP, FPID, MHA, CPHQ is a graduate of King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. He trained in Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh followed by his training in the same specialty in Toronto University, Canada. Holder of diploma in Child Health (DCH) in Ireland, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow at the American Institute for Healthcare Quality, and a certified Lean Six Sigma practitioner. Dr. Dayel started his medical career in Pediatric Infectious Diseases as acting consultant in King Abdullah Hospital and later promoted to consultant post until 2009. He continued his career as consultant in Pediatric Infectious Diseases in King Fahad Medical City on 2009 and was given different managerial and administrative positions from then. He was the chairman in Pediatric Subspecialties from 2009-2012 and head of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Section from 2012 up to the present. He was also the chairman of Institutional Mortality and Morbidity Committee and Organizational Charts Committee, both a significant committee attached to the higher executive administration. Presently, he is the Executive Director of Patient Care Excellence Administration, King Fahad medical City.
